Um... Idk what I would need to fix it, but this is what I've got so far. I hope it is alright:

Name: Evan Berg-Bierman, AKA 'Ice'
Age: 23
Race: Human
Sex: Male
Height: 6'3''
Weight: 240 lbs.
Hair Color: Dirty Blonde
Eye Color: Blue
Occupation: Weapons Examinerfor Chicago Police Department.
Personality: Calm, Nice, Friendly, Brave, Loves to end resolutions between people, attitude depends on mood people give him.
Appearance: Clothing: Normal, (Baggy Black Jeans with Metal Chain, White Flowing T-Shirt under 2XL Black Shirt, Size 12 Black Boots, Sunglasses, Hair put down and very slick, due to over-conditioning, wears 4 rings and a bracelet on left arm, cross around neck) Has extra apparel (Phone, keys, IPod, Wallet loaded with Benjamins) and then his sidearm (Colt SSP) for protection. When Level 3, Pistol switches to Intradec DC-9 Semi-Automatic Pistol. Level 5- IMI Desert Eagle .50AE.
Weapons: Sidearm, (HK USP Match with Laser Aiming Device and 15-round 9x19 Luger Parabellum rounds per clip), then a rifle (Still Undecided)
Skills/Abilities:
CQC (Close Quarter Combat)- really excellent when facing against more than one opponent at a time, can move fast against punches, is very quick when moving
Marksman style shooting- When he has spare time at work, he takes a rifle a day and goes to the shooting range, firing at ranges of over 3000 feet, making some shots perfect, but still missing few.
Demolitions: His father worked in Chicago SWAT and defused bombs, so he went in his footsteps backwards and instead of defusing them, he made them for plans of infiltration in a large space.
Knives: Can throw one at 20 feet and still hit a bullseye dead on. Then, hitting it again, but making the second knife go into the target more.
Backup- With a radio in hand, Evan can call upon his closest buddies on the force (Mark, Matt, Mike, Dan and Roberto) to give him any help he can get. They all can support fire and give tactical advice when needed.

Bio:

Born in a small town by the name of Crestwood, Illinois, Evan Berg-Bierman was raised by a divorced family until being switched over to his grandmother by the age of 12. Throughout the years, he had several issueswith confrontations, leading to troubles in school. Then at 15, he switched his whole momentum around when he transfered schools and graduated from the school with High Honors. After reaching High Status, he was offered to several colleges, including Saint Xavier, Northern Illinois, and Robert Morris. He accepted neither of them and went to the one place no one ever expected him to be: West Point Academy. After being there for 4 years, until the age of 22, he graduated top of his class to enlist into the Armed Forces. Unfortunately, he turned them down to enter Chicago SWAT to be a Weapons Specialist, Demolitions Expert, and Role Model for most officers. He had only been there for a year, and has grown onto some people as a friend, a visionary, a Top Gun, and a Hero in their lives.

Hey there Script, welcome to Althanas and the ToC!

While we allow guns and most weapons in Sci-Fi settings, we've been very queasy about things similar to machine guns. As I understand, the HK-MP5-N has a rate of fire of 800 rounds per minute, which can be quite excessive in a battle where shooting three bullets or casting one or two fireballs is seen as enough action for one post. Plus, you can't realistically dodge these kinds of weapons, but people will invariably try because they don't want their characters to die in the first round of posts.

So if you can remove it, I would be grateful. In exchange, you couldprobably add in a few explosives he carries, so that his 'Demolition' skill doesn't go to waste. Just, don't use them in a way that gives your opponents no chances of leaving the blast radius with all of their limbs.

I was a bit surprised at the 3000 feet range, but apparently that's not uncommon in military shooting ranges, and apparently some even go to 6000 feet. I would only advise you not to be so accurate as to align headshot after headshot. I suspect that this guy should have better accuracy and range with his sniper than Evan with his shotgun (a range of 50-60 m I believe), or his MP5 (I think the maximum effective range for that is 150m). Oddly, you don't actually seem to have a weapon that'd be used with his long-range marksmanship.

And you'll probably need to say that the people he has as Backup were brought along with him and are a type of 'familiar' for the simplicity's sake. They can be nowhere as skilled as Evan, considering their numbers, and he can only get support fire by 2 of them at a time (or else, 6 people would be shooting at the same time, which puts most people at too much of disadvantage). Since they're normal human beings, there's no 'summon time limit' to them, so you'll have to use them sparingly by saying they're spread around the battlefield and only the two closest to him can help him at any given time. Also, I expect Nigh-Stormtrooper inaccuracy from them. Not to the point of being comically unreal, but just enough to be a nuisance.

If those can work for now, please PM me. If not then voice me your opinion. I need help from you greatly from this. Trust me, I follow you into the line of duty. Like Thomas Jefferson, 'The tree of Liberty shall be passed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.' I will shed blood for you when I get this. I need your guidance.

P.S.- The men I told as EXTRA SUPPORT, Only one man can help me at a time, then I'm useless if one of them dies, but they will not die when immediately called upon. Just like the game 'Army of Two', This is the same kind of matter.

Why do you ask Gordie?

Gordie, I'm glad you're so enthusiastic about this, but it's common courtesy not to post in other people's profiles, so that things can be kept organized. However, feel free to contact anyone through Private Messaging, or by using the Character Appreciation (http://www.althanas.com/world/showthread.php?t=17844) thread or the Seeking Tournament Partner (http://www.althanas.com/world/showthread.php?t=17721) thread.

I'm not sure where you're going with all these levels, frankly. For the purpose of the Tournament of Champions, everyone is considered level 5. However, if you played on Althanas itself after the tournament, you wouldn't be able to start with any firearm. You'd be able to gain them progressively as you level, but they're incredibly hard to get.

In any case, I'd prefer it if you only had the Springfield M1A target rifle as a primary, either a Walther P99 or an HK USP Match as secondary, and the following as Specials: 5 Smoke Grenades, 5 Flashbang Grenades, 2 Trip-wire Claymores, and 1 Trip-Wire Timed C4 Charge.

As for the back-up, are you saying that only one of the five can be called upon at a time? I've never played Ao2, so I wouldn't know. If that's the case, then it's quite alright.

Okay, well then this is it:

Main: Springfield M1A target rifle set up to duplicate M21, but with modified wooden adjustable stock.
Secondary: HK USP Match, with laser aiming device and .45Auto Bullets
Specials: 5 Smoke Grenades, 5 Flashbang Grenades, 2 Trip-wire Claymores, and 1 Trip-Wire Timed C4 Charge.

Then, back-up would move on as precautionary standards. Now, as a last resort, what weapons would they have? just give them something Low Grade, or do you trust me? I know as a equality nothing higher than a SMG or Shotgun. NO RPGS or Machine Guns on them. That would snarky. Assault Rifles are also not eligable. I Think they need something that shoots automatic, but needs to be very low maintanence, Like HK UMPs or Benelli M3s, possibly Mini-Uzis only. Is that okay?

Ataraxis

I'll trust you, though they shouldn't have nearly as much on them as Evan. Also, nothing that has a high firing rate, therefore nothing fully-automatic. As long as they need to press the trigger for one round to be shot (o semi-automatic, to my knowledge) then it's fine, so no Mini-Uzi, unless I misunderstand and it doesn't shoot 375 rounds per minute. I'd say, go with the Benelli M3.

Also, last change: instead of the HK USP Match, could you switch to the 9mm version?

After that, it should be fine. However, I'll be checking your posts in case I see any abuse: firearms are a very hard to play with around here without there being powergaming. If I see any instance of that, I'll warn you about them so that you can adjust later on. Is that fine with you?

In any case, make those final changes, and you're good to go.

Well then I'll have to switch the UZI with something else, because that has a rate of 950 rounds per minute. Yet, I have a solution.

Beretta Taurus PM12S
Caliber: 9x19mm Luger/Para
Weight: 3.2 kg empty
Length (stock closed/open): 418 / 660 mm
Barrel length: 200 mm
Rate of fire: 550 rounds per minute
Magazine capacity: 20 , 32 or 40 cartridges
Effective range: 150-200 meters

That OR:

Mossberg Shotgun (500A, 500 Persuader, 500 Marine, 500 Tactical, 500 Cruiser, 500 Home Security, or 500 Bullpup)
Type: Pump action shotgun
Gauge: 12, 20, or .410; Chamber 3" / 76 mm
Overall length: varies with different models
Barrel length(s): 355 - 500 mm (14" - 20") for combat/defensive versions. up to 711 mm / 28" in hunting versions
Weight: 3.06-3.29kg
Magazine: 5, 7 or 8 rounds in underbarrel tube magazine

Those two choices would work best for the men.

Trust me, When it comes to being fair, I am just going to be civil. Like the 'Rules Of Engagement': No one fires until fired upon. I won't attack until attacked or engaged upon.
I won't go over those rules or else I am shaming myself for it.

That's very good to hear.

Also, says the Beretta has 550 rounds per minute, so nay :P

Go with the Mossberg 500A Shotgun (though I find that rather powerful).

After that, you're good for approval!

Scriptwriter667
12-20-08, 05:50 PM
Um... yea so my men will have Mossberg 500A shotguns at the start, then I have, just to be clear:

Main: M14 Designated Marksman Rifle (DMR) with quick-detachable sound moderator (silencer)
Secondary: HK USP Match with Laser Aiming Device and 9x19mm Luger Parabellum Rounds (15 per clip)
Specials: Specials: 5 Smoke Grenades, 5 Flashbang Grenades, 2 Trip-wire Claymores, and 1 Trip-Wire Timed C4 Charge.

Is that fine? The M14 is just the same as the Springfield M1A, but is heavier to carry. But then if there is more problems, I will fix them.

Alright, while I'm queasy about the added silencer, it still shouldn't be too hard to pinpoint his location after he shoots (that's assuming he missed). Remember though, the winner isn't the one who kills everyone else the fastest, but the one who makes the battle more interesting and engaging to read!

You are hereby approved!
